ISICO is a biannual international conference has been hosted by Department of Information Systems, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) since 2011. In 2013, ISICO becomes the official Association for Information Systems (AIS) Indonesia Chapter (named AISINDO) affiliated conference. During ISICO 2013, the AISINDO was established and was cordially commemorated by The AIS Past President, Professor Doug Vogel of City University of Hong Kong. Currently AISINDO is the largest AIS Chapter in ASEAN in terms of National Members. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education and Research, ITS is one of the renowned universities (#4) and the second largest Engineering-based University in Indonesia. While Information Systems Department ITS is also a prominent IS department in Indonesia. The undergraduate acceptance rate for admission has been around 3%, hence is very competitive.

The main philosophy of ISICO’s presence is that to widen the research collaboration among IS researchers worldwide. Especially (but not limited) those that of developing countries. To this point, ISICO does not aim to replace existing IS Conferences such as PACIS, AMCIS, ICIS, or ECIS but rather it complements their presences. In ISICO 2015, we have successfully received 230 submissions from 23 countries. Most of the submissions came from Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. This number shows that our very goal was a great success and ISICO is the best place to earn global partnership in especially for research that needs unique case study in developing countries

The two salient features of ISICO are the keynotes and Scopus-index Elsevier publication support. In terms of Keynotes, we regularly invites Global AIS President such as Prof. Douglas Vogel, Hong Kong (ISICO 2013), Prof Jaekyu Lee, Korea (ISICO 2015), and Prof Matti Rossi, Finland (ISICO 2017). Moreover, we are very grateful that in ISICO 2017, one of the keynotes is running for AIS Presidency (From AIS Region 3): Prof Ting Peng Liang of Taiwan. If he manages to secure the position, then ISICO 2017 will be the first IS conference in ASEAN that invite two Global AIS Presidents as Keynotes at one time. This will be great honor for ASEAN IS Community and more specifically for Indonesian IS Community.

In terms of publication, we have strong ties with Elsevier in regular basis. For this reason, all full paper will be published under PCS which is open and easily accessible at www.sciencedirect.com. By making the publication everlasting open, a researcher could continuously promote his/her research interests. Also, the incorporation of PCS within www.sciencedirect.com will be strategically important since sciencedirect.com is one of the most accessed paid journal directories globally. Hence, the PCS publication will certainly have positive impact for gaining more and more citations. For your information, previously published full papers in ISICO 2015 are available at http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/18770509/72

During the 3-day conference, researchers in the field of information systems will have a valuable opportunity to share experiences, bringing new ideas, and to introduce the latest developments in these multidisciplinary fields of information systems

All papers accepted and presented as full papers will be published by Elsevier as volume series Procedia Computer Science (the series is indexed by Scopus and ISI Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index) and will be available on ScienceDirect Sciverse.
